The population in Canada

The topic of this paper is population in Canada. It claims that Canada should manage its population on several ways. There are three reasons for this problem. The first is that people marry at a late age. The second is that people decide to not have children. The third is that citizens are very busy and women work outside the home. Finally, the population is a big problem that some countries have faced.

Today, the population in the world is still growing but in some countries it has become a big issue, because the population has decreased instead of increasing which makes these counties such as Canada, Spain, and Italy worry. According to Weeks’ article (2007, para. 7), “In most of the industrialized countries, the trend in population growth is toward a decline” said Laurent Martel. Moreover, the problem is that the population is increasing, but the native people decrease. Also, this issue not like any issue because it requires a long time to solve. According to Miller, “Only a few countries, chiefly Canada, Australia, and the United States, allow large annual increases in population from immigration, and some countries encourage emigration to reduce population pressure” (1994, p. 28). These countries will lose their culture because there are many immigrants in these countries. On other hand, the immigrants will help these countries to increase their population and economies. However, the population is an important factor to develop any country, for example, when we have a huge land, and factories, but we do not have people to work. Those are like countries without humans. Finally, we can handle this problem, because the world does not have a problem without a solution, but it needs people to think about it and make plans to solve it.

We have three important ways to handle this issue. First, the citizens should marry at early age by making advantages. Second, Canada’s government should make lectures about how this country is in the worst problem. Third, the citizens should have more than three babies to solve this problem.

First, the citizens should marry at early age, because they should solve this problem and this problem will affect them in the future. According to Reynolds’ article (2007a, p. 2), “The country will now spend $35 billion (U.S) to persuade women to have more babies”. Also, the Canadian government should encourage people to marry at an early age by making advantages, because many people now marry at a late age. For example, when people marry at an early age they can have more than four children, and they can educate and manage them before they get old.
The main reason that has made people marry at a late age is that life requires hard work, the children need money to buy their stuff, and they need time to take care of them, but the government can make a law for people who have children to give them money. As we know marriage at an early age has benefits for people and the government. One of these benefits, when they have children in an early age, is that the children can help them to do some tasks and help them when they get old and they will help their country by increasing the population. For example, my father married at an early age, he could see the grandchildren and also we have been helped my father
in many ways; for example, my older brother picked me up when I was in middle school instead of my father. In addition, when the citizens have babies they will not lose their cultures or customs, and Canada’s economy will improve, which will help them to have a wonderful life. Finally, marriage at an early age has advantages for people and governments.

Second, Canada’s government should make lectures about how this country is in the worst problem because some people do not know what is going on in their country, and if they know they will help them to figure out a solution to increase the number of native Canadians. However, this problem is reasonable for the government by making lectures for the citizens about how this country is in the worst problem because some of some the native people do not know how this problem is dangerous in the future or maybe some people do not have any idea about this problem. Now, the government should educate the citizens by giving them lectures on television and create materials in school that talk about the population and about losing the culture. For example, the government can make a competition or program on how we can solve and handle this problem. After that, people will have an idea and they will feel as the government felt. Finally, everyone in the world likes to
help her/his country; sometimes they do not know problems or maybe they do not know how dangerous this problem will be in the future.

Third, the citizens should have more than three babies to solve this problem, because that is the important factor to solve this problem. In addition, the native citizens will increase instead of decrease. Also,
the environment helps them to produce babies, because they have a big land and they have one of the best educational systems in the world. However, the Canadian government should make an advantage for people who have more than three babies, because we know that when they have children they should have money to take care of them. For example, the children need education and the education requires money to buy school materials. As we know this life requires a lot of hard work to survive in it. When the government makes advantages for people to have babies, people will have them. For example, when the government gives a salary for people who have four children or more that will encourage people to get babies. Finally, the main reason for people not to have children is the economic reason; when the government solves this problem, the population will grow.

Opponents may say that population comes from government law and is entirely the issue of government. In fact, this is completely wrong, because if so, the government decreased the population and now it is trying to fix this problem. This really does not make sense. If the government makes the population decrease, it did not announce anything about this problem to the citizens before it happened.

In conclusion, now, we should focus on the population problem, because it makes some countries suffer from many things such as economy, industry, and technology. The number of native Canadians has declined but it has many immigrants who help them in the economy. Therefore, the government enforces the population, takes care of citizens, and gets people’s attention. In fact, if everyone cares about the population, environment, and anything that is related to our life, then we will have a great life.
